Dear Vern, all, Regarding your question 1 (how to contact the chambers): As far as I remember, there are Eurocham people on the VNBIZ list. You may check the members list that was sent out a few weeks ago. Regarding your question 2 (refurbishing the PCs): a) Regarding hard drives: I think second-hand HDs are not too expensive here. The other alternative is, to get them via eBay. It is fairly easy for me to buy in Germany, although I guess that they are a bit cheaper in the US. Up to 10 GB or so, you get for nearly scrap value (I bought a 1 GB for 2 EUR plus shipping cost). Means: Cost are very low, if the HD can be small. The question to SaoMai would be: What OS do they need/how big HD do they need? b) Regarding manpower: Does HVO or somebody else have contacts to students? Maybe some students would be willing to work for a few hours every week to put the stuff together. Are there somewhere facilities available? - a store for PCs, monitors, cards, cables, keyboards, ..... - a table with power outlet to assemble and test the stuff? I am right now a bit short of manpower myself, so I cannot offer much. Maybe I can offer some supervision, if needed, in a few weeks. Cheers, Stefan
Cheers, Stefan
